The Concept A quiet, reflective study that maps the landscape of internal emotion. The sculpture presents an intersection of pleasing, fluid curves that wind and constrict into an uncomfortable singularity. Driven to uncover the hidden emotional truth of things usually taken for granted, the work uses the physical tension of the knot to investigate the complex, knotted nature of inner feelings.
The Surface The work relies heavily on a tactile friction across its continuous form. The surface evolves as the eye follows the loop, transitioning fluidly from perfectly smooth, reflective glaze to raw, rough, and deeply disrupted textures. This material shift mirrors the psychological landscape of the piece, where moments of calm clarity give way to dense, textured, uncomfortable internal tension.
