Sanjai Mistry

Sanjai Mistry is a South African-born contemporary sculptor and ceramicist based in Belgium, currently specialising in sculpture and spacial art at the Kunstakademie Aan Zee in Ostend. His multidisciplinary work spans monumental site-specific installations, figurative sculpture, and technical ceramics, focusing on stripping away the superficial layers of everyday objects, human figures, and digital systems.

Through a studio practice rooted in material experimentation and intense craftsmanship, he creates tactile realities designed to uncover an unexpected sense of wonder in ordinary life. His work challenges viewers to step away from modern digital noise and observe the physical artifacts of daily existence with newfound awe.
