The Concept A monumental spatial installation exploring humanity’s shifting devotion from traditional divinity to the algorithmic loop. Towering at four meters high, a shimmering, gossamer torus hangs at eye level like a modern oracle. In both advanced physics and ancient geometry, the torus represents a self-sustaining infinity; here, it stands as a physical monument to our reliance on digital systems.
The Execution The artwork is a direct collaboration with artificial intelligence, vibe-coded via natural language conversation rather than rigid engineering software. Prompted to describe a mathematical torus through raw coordinates, the AI provided a loose, beautifully flawed impression of the form. These conversational data points were then translated into physical space through months of painstaking hand-weaving using a custom studio jig.
The Impact Suspended between infinite mirrored reflections, the iridescent spheres catch the light to pit the seduction of digital answers against growing blind faith. By filtering an algorithmic creation through intense human labor, the work asks a fundamental question about the modern world: when we look to technology for direction, are we simply seeking logic, or are we looking for a new God?
